Septic system: an overview

Do you know where the waters from shower or bath, laundry or dishes, or toilet flushes go? It ends up in one of the two places – an on-site septic system or a public sewer system. Septic and cisterns are quite common in rural locations: septic tanks to collect the waste water and cisterns for drinkable water. In that sense,  cistern septic systems  hold great importance. Leaving cisterns for later, let’s talk about on-site septic systems here: An on-site septic system is primarily recommended in rural locations where connectivity to a public sewer system is not available.
